¡Sí Se Puede! Hispanic Heritage Month Spotlight on César Chávez & the UFW
FEATURE STORY September 15 to October 15 marks the annual celebration of National Hispanic Heritage Month, for which the theme in 2011 is "Many Backgrounds, Many Stories . . . One American Spirit." Indeed, the 50.5 million Hispanics in the United States offer many unique backgrounds and stories that have contributed to the mosaic of American society. One Hispanic American whose story significantly impacted U.S. history was César Chávez with his motto "¡Sí, se puede!" ("Yes, we can!").
