This farmworker movement pledge, Take a Stand, is directed at consumers for the purpose of raising money to support United Farm Workers (UFW) strikers. This particular pledge drive advertisement presents the plight of the farmworker movement pitted against growers and Teamsters. Moreover, it also raises awareness of the continuing pickets as well as the need to continue the boycott on the part of consumers. Pamphlets of this sort were aimed at not only drawing attention at the efforts of the UFW but also raising money to support striking laborers.
