Nagasaki bombing



Smoke rises more than 60,000 feet into the air over the Japanese port city of Nagasaki on August 9, 1945, a result of the dropping of the second atomic bomb three days after the United States dropped the first bomb on Hiroshima. Japan unconditionally surrendered five days later on August 14, 1945.
