| Hendrick was a Mohawk who developed a relationship with the English colonies led by William Johnson. Hendrick helped keep the Six Nations in the interests of England in its war against France. He is known for his criticism of the English for their failure to defend the Six Nations against the French, and was killed at the Battle of Lake George in 1755. |
