Roger Williams and the Narragansetts



The Narragansett Indians protect British colonist Roger Williams. Williams developed a good relationship with the Narragansetts, a situation that enabled him to negotiate an end to the Pequot War in 1637, thereby helping the Puritans who had exiled him.
