Nathan F. Twining



Nathan F. Twining was one of the outstanding air commanders in World War II. He served with distinction in both the European and Pacific theaters, and went on to become chief of staff in the new U.S. Air Force. Twining also made history by becoming the first airman to be appointed chair of the Joint Chiefs of Staff.
