Munich Conference



Mussolini (left) and Rudolf Hess (right) arrive at the Fuehrerhaus for the Munich Conference in September 1938. The purpose of the conference was to discuss the future of Czechoslovakia, much of which ended up being surrendered to Nazi Germany. The resulting Munich Agreement stands as a major example of appeasement.
