Arthur Harris



Royal Air Force (RAF) Air Chief Marshall Sir Arthur Harris. Harris was responsible for carrying out and overseeing the area bombing of German cities by the RAF during World War II. The bombing of entire cities caused the deaths of thousands of German civilians, making area bombing a controversial tactic to this day.
