Armament production during World War II



A giant overhead crane moves a 6D Bliss press, weighing 17 tons, from an automotive plant in Detroit that is being converted to armament production. When set up in another Chevrolet Motor building, this press would form door trim panels for U.S. Army trucks during World War II.
